Departure

Season
December to April
Passengers
Up to 5, or 6 in a twin-engine
Flight time
20 to 80 minutes

I arrange helicopter and private jet transfers to the Alpine resorts from December to April. I work between Lugano and Milan, I know the departure airports and the arrival heliports, and I coordinate the flight, the car on the ground and the timing with the hotel. You get one contact and one price.

How it works

Write to me with dates, number of passengers, luggage and departure point. I check availability with the operators and reply with two or three options, single or twin engine, with the final price. Once confirmed I handle the rest: departure slot, car at destination, contact with the hotel concierge. On the day you only need to show up.

Where you depart from

Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa, Lugano Agno, Zurich, Geneva, Sion. From Milan you can also depart from Bresso or from a private helipad.

Where you land

St. Moritz
The flight lands at Samedan, the Engadin airport at 1,707 metres, or in the core winter months at the St. Moritz Bad heliport. About 45 minutes from Milan, about 60 from Zurich.
Zermatt
The heliport is in the village, minutes from the hotels. About 30 minutes from Lugano, 45 from Geneva, 60 from Zurich, 20 from Sion. From Milan you fly to Sion or Lugano for customs, then on to Zermatt: about one hour and a quarter in total, stop included. From 6 to 10 April 2027 Zermatt hosts Zermatt Unplugged, the music festival at the foot of the Matterhorn.
Courchevel
You land at the altiport at 2,000 metres. About 80 minutes from Milan.
Gstaad
In winter jets land in Bern, then 30 minutes by helicopter to Saanen. The Sommets Musicaux, from 29 January to 6 February 2027, fill the churches of Saanen and Rougemont with concerts.
Verbier
About 20 minutes from Sion, landing at Le Châble. In late March the Freeride World Tour final, the Xtreme Verbier, draws the crowd to the Bec des Rosses.
Cervinia and Courmayeur
Private helipads, about 50 and 45 minutes from Milan.
Cortina d’Ampezzo and Madonna di Campiglio
About 75 and 50 minutes from Milan, landing at an authorised helipad. In Cortina the women’s Ski World Cup on the Olympia delle Tofane, from 15 to 17 January 2027.
Davos
About 60 minutes from Zurich. The Spengler Cup, the ice hockey tournament between Christmas and New Year, from 26 to 31 December 2026.

Arriving by private jet

Many clients arrive on their own jet. In that case I coordinate the helicopter with the landing time: Samedan for St. Moritz, Sion for Zermatt and Verbier, Bern for Gstaad, Geneva for Courchevel and Megève. If you need the jet as well, I arrange it from the same request, with three aircraft options.

What to know before booking

Daylight
In winter you fly in daylight only. Samedan closes half an hour after sunset. In January I plan the last departure by 15:30, in March by 16:30.
Weather
Weather decides. If the captain cancels for safety there are no penalties, apart from costs already incurred for the service, and you have a chauffeured car ready as the alternative. I say this before, not after.
Customs
Between Italy and Switzerland a short customs stop of ten minutes may be needed, only when departing from a private helipad or landing at a heliport without customs. I arrange it, you do not have to deal with it.
Luggage
Two medium and two small suitcases on board. Skis and large bags I send ahead by car.
Booking
Booking recommended at least one week in advance. In the Christmas and New Year weeks and during the February events helicopters sell out earlier.

When to go to St. Moritz

The season has three dates that fill the hotels and the helicopters.

Snow Polo World Cup
22 to 24 January 2027, on the frozen lake.
The I.C.E. St. Moritz
29 and 30 January 2027, the concours d’elegance for classic cars on the lake.
White Turf
7, 14 and 21 February 2027, horse racing on snow.

For those days I arrange the flight around the event programme and, through a partner in Milan, tickets and hospitality access as well. For events in the other resorts, access is on request. Let me know when you write.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a helicopter from Milan to St. Moritz cost?

Roughly from €4,500 to €8,000 for the whole helicopter, VAT included, single engine for up to 5 passengers. It depends on date, aircraft and departure point. I reply with the final price as soon as I have the operators’ availability, usually the same day.

Can you fly directly from Linate to Samedan?

Yes, nonstop. Both airports have customs.

And from Milan to Zermatt?

Yes. The Zermatt heliport has no customs, so the helicopter makes a ten minute stop in Sion or Lugano for the formalities, then continues. About one hour and a quarter in total. Roughly from €4,500 to €10,000 VAT included.

Single or twin engine?

The single engine is the standard in the Alps, with 5 seats. The twin engine has 6 seats, more space and two engines, and costs more. I propose both and you choose.

What happens in bad weather?

The flight is cancelled without penalties, apart from costs already incurred, and you switch to the chauffeured car or move the flight by a few hours.

Can I bring skis?

Yes, but they take up space. If the group is full, I send them ahead by car.

Do you arrange the jet too?

Yes. From the same request I arrange the jet to the airport and the helicopter for the last leg.
